A charter boat in the harbor of Belize City, Belize. Belize City is located at the mouth of the Belize River on the Caribbean sea. It it the largest city in Belize with population estimated to be over 70,000 people.
Belize City has been hit by two hurricanes since 1900. Hurricane Keith hit in 1931 and Hurricane Hattie hit Belize City in 1961. Belize City is the hub for both national and international air, sea and road travel. Generally speaking travel services are excellent being punctual and relatively inexpensive.
